The Duke of Devonshire’s Charitable Trust (DDCT), charity no. 213519, is a grant-making family charity providing assistance to charitable causes in Derbyshire, and close to Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire, at Eastbourne in Sussex and at Lismore in Ireland as well as occasionally further afield in the UK.

The DDCT has awarded grants to a variety of applicants, including the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Peak Forest Reading Room, Ashgate Hospice, Fareshare Midlands, Future Trees Trust, Crossroads Derbyshire, Upbeat Communities, Towner Eastbourne, Ecton Mine Educational Trust and many more. 

In 2026, we are taking a more strategic approach to our giving. For the time being, we continue to welcome applications for the time being, and expect trustees to meet in autumn 2026 to consider these.
